[heading class=”dashed” title=”Individual Therapy and International Couples Counselling in Berlin” align=”center”]

I offer individual therapy and international couples counselling online and in my private practice in Berlin Neukölln. My therapy approach is based on my training in psychodynamic art psychotherapy and in systemic family therapy. I’m registered with the HCPC in England and I also have psychotherapy license (HeilprG) in Germany. Most of my clients have experiences of migrating between different countries. Many of them live in international and often bilingual relationships. If you have moved from another country or your partner comes from a different cultural background, this can mean added stress with regards to communication, power dynamics and feelings of loneliness, loss or anxiety. My aim is to co-create an empathetic and supportive space with you that helps you to understand and effectively change difficult behaviours and patterns.

I’ve gained many years of experience in working with clients from a diversity of different backgrounds. My own experiences while living and working in different countries have fostered my understanding of similarities and differences regarding cultural perspectives and ways of communicating. However, it’s also important for me to acknowledge that everybody faces their own challenges and questions in life. This also means that relationships and their issues are usually as unique as the individuals that participate in them. Therefore, my aim is to adapt to your specific situation and needs as much as possible. I generally follow a psychodynamic (attachment-based) approach, in which I integrate creative and systemic methods as well as coaching tools as appropriate. Together we can discuss what kind of support is the most suitable in your situation.
